Aside from the group fitness classes available at the Riu Cancun such as toning classes or water aerobics in the swimming pool, guests can play a game of volleyball on the beach, hire kayaks, snorkelling equipment or catamarans, or enjoy a scuba diving lesson for beginners in the pool. These activities are complimentary if you have booked your stay with an all-inclusive package.

Children will be divided into two groups that will each go for a different activity depending on their age. Most of the activities are outdoor based and are supervised by the hotel’s team of professionals, with appearances by Calu, the RiuLand mascot character.
The Riu Cancun organizes live shows for their guests to enjoy every day of the week, with a different style of show every night so you will feel like you’re seeing something new every night. You can expect live music shows, opera nights and Mayan cultural shows, amongst others, and the staff always get the audience involved ensuring a fun evening for everyone.
The easiest way to get to the Riu Cancun from the airport is to book a private transfer, either with a taxi or with a shared shuttle bus that will drop you off at the hotel. If you choose to go with a taxi, expect to pay 956 MXN (around 50 USD) for two persons for a one-way trip and you will get to the hotel in about 20m, while a shared shuttle bus will cost about 439 MXN (23 USD) per person for a return trip, and the trip will take about 30m as the bus will be making a few other stops along the way.(Prices checked 06/05/19).
