The first room I was given I couldn't access with the key card, the cleaning staff even tried and told me I would have to go back to the front desk. The second room I was given I was able to access, but only after multiple (at least 10 or more) tries with the key card. Bathroom could use an update, possible black mold on the ceiling. Parking is limited if you are staying in the second building, which is located on the opposite side of the large parking lot, so be prepared to walk with luggage. Good luck trying to call the front desk, locate the ice machine or find something to watch on the 10 channels provided. Fridge was larger than a mini fridge, but don't turn it up because it will freeze everything in it. Honestly only stayed here because of the price. If we had realized we were staying an extra night in Charleston, we would have just booked another night at the hotel we were in the previous night, which was right next door. Best thing about the hotel is the location.

Pros:Convenient location; comfortable bed; nice size room; nice bathroom; good breakfast; helpful staff. Koodos to Shanna at the desk - she was absolutely wonderful!! Very friendly and bubbly and extremely helpful. One of the best front desk personnel I have ever seen!

Cons:Beds were very uncomfortable and not clean. Bathrooms were horrific. I was there for 2 nights for last minute business. The showers wouldn't drain, the handle fell of in shower, toilet was brown and wouldn't properly flush. I avoided the bathroom as much as possible. If I didn't have to be in the area I would have checked out and stayed further in downtown, especially for $130 a night with those cleanliness issues. Disappointed to say the least.

Cons:Terrible experience. The public spaces were filthy as well as the corridors and guest rooms. Upon check in, we discovered that our sheets were covered with hairs. We kindly asked the front desk to change before we return after dinner. We were returned our bathroom was semi flooded and the sheets were unchanged. There was one person on staff at the time so she handed us a stack of sheets to change the sheets ourselves. I would never recommend this hotel to anyone else. Worst hotel experience of my life.

Cons:Breakfast was not ready on time and did not get to eat what I wanted. Didn't even have milk for cereal at 7:30am available. Otherwise other things were fine.

Cons:As much as the location and view were nice, had I been staying more than a short night, I would have probably left and gone to a different hotel. Understand the place is under major reconstruction, but as I checked and received my card key, I was not thrilled to walk out the back door and across to the adjacent building shrouded in a 1970s aura complete with dead foliage and (unlike he first building) outdoor entrances. The room itself wasn't bad. Nice open bathroom, but the sheets, comforter, and mattress were also from the 1970s. As I paid an extra $10 for a luxury king size bed, I expected at least a pillow top and not a twenty year old, worn out, $200, interlocking coil mattress with a dip the perfect shape of my body in which I seemed of grovel in all night. Thankfully, since I woke up every hour on the hour, I did not miss my early morning meeting across the river.
