If you don’t plan on getting data on your phone, at least download the map ahead of time. For all us, North American drivers, Aruba drives on the correct side of the road! There’s not a single traffic light that I saw on the island. Everything is traffic circles makes you really appreciate Them because when I got back home, traffic lights are really ticking me off! Service was excellent, no complaints here. The issue was the address you have in your records is incorrect, does not even exist anymore. You still have it listed on the website. That said, the woman at the counter, did not get her name, was excellent. Helped me out even with the address problem. Needed to return the car as the driver side front tire had cracks in it, really???? Again, the same woman was able to help me out with a new vehicle, she is to be commended for her work ethics.

Our rental experience seemed fairly good, when we picked up the car there was a bit of damage on the vehicle. I made sure I took a full walk around video to make sure we weren’t gonna have any trouble on dropping off. It wasn’t a problem after all. Vehicle seem to work fine fairly easy staff to deal with.

Super BAD experience with this mediocre service of payless ARUBA. I WONT RECOMMEND ANYONE to rent a car. You wonder why.....??? Well if you have a confirmation with PAYLESS ARUBA beware that you can arrive at the counter for pick up you confirmed rental car and the employer will tell you that there is no car reserved for your booking. And keep in mind that this stupid airport location opens at 10am and I had to wait 2 hours for them to open and than telling me that they don't have my reserved midsized car

I went to the airport to pick up the car and in the front desk after all the explanations the lady told me that Payless didn’t accept DINERS credit card so I can’t take the reservation and she canceled in that moment. I have to look in the airport another rental car and finally I choose thirty rental car and found a car at the same day.

Not good at all. When I arrive there, they said I canceled my car in January when I had just booked it two weeks before so then they found me another car and of course the price went up. And then there was all these other added fees. Then when I returned the car, I got three bills, and one bill was added $300 more than the other. Still trying to take care of this. Horrible

The man who picked up the car when I was dropping off, yelled at me because I was trying to park the vehicle in the row 20 (where I picked it up). I didn’t find a place to leave it next to Thrifty and I thought I could park it at the parking lot in a Thrifty spot, but this man came to me whistling and being aggressive with his facial expressions and yelled at me telling me that I was supposed to leave it on the other side. Zero empathy with the client.

The staff Jeanie worked very hard to get us a vehicle and was so very nice and understanding!! She made our day!! Vehicle was clean, new and nice. We had no problems with the vehicle.

The staff was overwhelmed and understaffed for the number of customers picking up and dropping off vehicles. Granted nobody was in a hurry but that may be a cultural issue associated with island life. But I watched car after car in good shape get brought out to customers. My suv was a pile of junk. When I rent for a week I would at least like a car that isn't a rattletrap. The headlights were cloudy and the floormats were junk. I get it that Hertz's inventory may be less than desirable but seriously this was not rent worthy. I would love to know how to get on the good car list. Is there a special code to get a nice car?

The staff were friendly and professional. Check in and check out were quick. The car was clean. Fees were transparent. The only catch was the car had trouble accelerating and appeared to be past it's service date, but the island is so small this wasn't much of an issue.

The main thing that needs to be mentioned here is that I booked this car with it listed as being at the airport. When I went to find the rental car booth, it didn't exist. If it wasn't for a guy in a van eating his lunch, seeing my wife and I wandering around, I'm not sure we would've found him. He had our name on a list and drove us in a van to another location to pick-up our rental car. When we were there, the gentleman at the place (not listed as Economy but as Smart Rent a Car) went through a laundry list of rules for the car, such as washing it prior to returning it (otherwise there would be a $150). All of this after charging me a $500 security hold. At this point, I was expecting a pristine, brand new car. Instead, I got issued a car with 24,000 miles on it. The radio was damaged, the driver's side window would go off track if lowered. I had to raise it and put it into place from the outside of the car. This car also had numerous scuff, scratches, dents etc. When I was ready to return to the airport, I couldn't go straight there. I had to take the car back, then get driven over to the airport. Extremely inconvenient. Especially since I specifically rented a car that was listed as being at the airport for pick-up.

I had an uncomfortable experience when I went to pick up my rental car. Getting there was confusing and you hop into a van that takes you to a very weird back alley way. I had gone to pickup the car on my own and as a woman it made me very uncomfortable. The man who helped me was asking strange questions about whether I was traveling alone and then proceeded to ask if it was a group of all girls. On top of that I thought it was very strange that the car didn't come with a full tank of gas, mine was nearly empty when I went to pick it up. I wouldn't rent from here again.

We like the price from kayak the pick up was all messed up, they didn’t have. Our rental due to someone bringing back a car late So they sent us to Toyota rental. They only had a smaller car ,then all was taken care of 4 hours later but we lost 4 hours of our day lost. Because dollar didn’t have car

We had to wait awhile for our paperwork to be completed and the car was disgusting. The front tire was going flat, the car was so dirty and when we turned the air conditioner on high, two dead cockroaches came out of the vents. The car type that we thought we were getting was not at all what we got. The car was the size of a shoebox. We will never rent from them again on the island of Aruba.

This rental was cancelled by the company 24 hours before we left leaving us without access to a car for our trip. I certainly hope this charge did not go thorough on to my card!! I’ll be checking when I get home. I already responded to this before we left. Not impressed with KAYAK sending this review for a reservation that never happened.
