At the Belmond Sanctuary Lodge, children under the age of 7 are able to stay for free of charge as long as they are using existing bedding, and the on-site restaurants have special kid-friendly menus. If children aged 8 or up need a rollaway bed added to the family’s hotel room, it will cost an additional fee of 225 PEN (approximately 67 USD) per night, which guests will have to pay a tax for.
The Belmond Sanctuary Lodge has several cultural activities that guests can partake in in order to learn more about the region’s rich history, such as the Pachamama Tribute Ceremony, where a traditional Andean shaman will help you make an offering of coca leaves, fruit, and grains in order to ask Mother Earth for blessings, health, and prosperity. Additionally, there is the Coca Leaf Reading, which consists of an Andean priest using coca leaves to determine what your future has in store for you.
