They don’t exist. Budget/Avis at the airport honored the reservation. It took a while to even find out that is how it works. The Payless website said to go to the budget/Avis counters to get shuttle service off site but there is no one off site. Budget was great, but only had one person at the counter and a lot of people to take care of. It took about an hour to get through the line.Reviewed Jun 17 2021

Transaction was through hotwire. Their emailed instructions directed me to a shuttle bus pick up. After waiting almost an hour, I looked up the company on the airports website and it said to go to the Avis counter. They were very helpful. Pros:Nothing this place is a joke do not rent a car from anyone other than hertz or enterprise. These people will run you through the ringerCons:Everything, no counter in the airport, finally get to the offsite rental place and it’s closed..... every single other car rental place was open except these jokers. Kayaks office is closed they were no help. Payless says I need to call kayak, kayak says I need to call Payless. After the run around for 5 hours on the phone I went and rented a car from enterprise for cheaper and much better customer service. Stay away from kayak and Payless car rental.Reviewed Jul 19 2020

Cons:Never prepay. Made everything so much more difficult. Would not let me alter a single thing about the reservation. Even to pick the vehicle up 10 hrs early because our flight was changed. I was also willing to pay the difference. When I could get the vehicle, they did not have the size car I rented. I needed a car that seated 6. Pros:Payless was an absolute failure. After confirming the reservation hours before arriving early, we were met with a sign on the door indicating that the computers were down and we could complete the Reservation pickup at the local Avis location. At the Avis we were instructed that they were simply honoring the Payless reservation pricing and we would have to negotiate the reservation refund with Payless. Additionally we watched the same scenario unfold with others in the Avis line along side us trying to complete their Payless reservation. After the reservation debacle Payless was unreachable for a refund. Additional we were unable to reach anyone through the third party website. All this was 4 days ago and we are still trying to get a refund of hundreds of dollars for a car rental reservation we never received. It is fraudulent experiences such as this that deter consumer trust in the online reservation process. Pros:once I got to the office fast check inCons:I could not call the location. I tried several times and it always went to a national call center and they wouldn't transfer me to the desk at the location. There is no telling how long it will take to get the shuttle to and from the airport. this location apparently lost internet connection and no one emailed or called me to alert me of this problem. Also this "airport" location, It's not an airport location it's a mile away, does not accept after/before hours drop offs. so if this location happened to be open you as the customer can't leave until after 8 AM. there are 6 Am flights all the time. They don't tell you that Avis is their partner company and that you can drop off at the airport with them unless they have a problem. Also the car smelled like cigarettes and there was clothes from the previous renter still in the car, and the car windows were dirty. In addition, there was a sound that I didn't notice until I drove off that was coming from one of the wheels. I checked but nothing was there but it was a worrying the whole time i was driving the car. This tells me these cars aren't always inspected or cleaned before they send them back out. Pros:Would not be able to tell you. Never received notice that they would be closed by the time I landed. Never got in touch with the branch due to only being able to talk to customer service in California (they did not have the information either). Cons:Location is 2 miles from airport. The off site location was not expressed clearly. Shuttle to and from airport 7am to 7pm only. NO after/before hours drop off. Not worth the money saved for all the drama. Plus customer no service is 1-800 #. Do not be fooled by "local" number on contract or phone maps. Only able to speak to center, never the location.
